Dr. Maddox teaches secondary education courses at UNA, supervises secondary social studies student teachers, and is project co-director of the Bridging Divides Project.
Dr. Joby Bass
Project Geographer
Dr. Bass is a cultural and environmental geographer with interests primarily focused on understanding the complex relationships humans have with the environment and with each other. He studies cultural landscapes as a key process, with an eye to understanding change, variation, perception, and the larger forces operating behind these. Dr. Bass’ interests hover around the intersections of culture, landscape, and environment, with particular emphases on cultural biogeography and ethnicity.
Natalie Gleason

Natalie Gleason is a 2024 graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi, where she studies Computer Science. She is the webmaster for the Bridging Divides Project.
